This page explains what data FootballDay uses, why, and what your rights are under the GDPR.

Data controller

ProjetFoot, the publisher of FootballDay, is the controller of the data processed on the site. For any questions: info@footballday.net.

Data collected

What’s needed for your account: username, email address, password (stored encrypted, never in plain text), language, country, date of birth and your choice about newsletter emails. Your game (club, players, results) is also saved.

For security: the IP address and approximate country of your registration and your last login. The IP address of login attempts is stored in an irreversible (hashed) form.

For purchases: the order details. Bank details are entered on Mollie’s side: we never see or store them.

Visitor statistics: we count page views and visitors anonymously, without a cookie and without storing any IP address (using a fingerprint that changes every day). We only use these figures to improve the game.

Public page (optional): if you turn it on in your account, your club’s page shows your username, your club and its results to everyone. You can turn it off at any time. The share images you create are deleted if you delete your account.

Why?

To run your account and the game (performance of a contract); for site security and to prevent cheating and multiple accounts (legitimate interest); to check the minimum age (13) and restrict the Shop to adults; to send you reminders or news if you’ve chosen to receive them (consent, which you can withdraw at any time); for purchase accounting (legal obligation).

How long?

For as long as your account exists. Login attempts are deleted after 24 hours. When your account is deleted, your data is erased, except for purchase accounting records, which are kept for the period required by law (7 years).

Who has access?

No one but us and our technical processors, all based in the European Union: OVHcloud (hosting), Mollie (payments) and Brevo (email delivery). Your data is never sold or used for advertising.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, erase or port your data, and object to certain processing, by writing to info@footballday.net. You can delete your account yourself from “My account”.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.dataprotectionauthority.be).

Cookies

FootballDay only uses technical cookies that are essential for the site to work: no advertising cookies, no audience measurement tools, no social media buttons that track you. Fonts are hosted on our own servers.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version; if there’s a significant change, we’ll let you know.
